Miami-Dade, FL (April 23, 2021) – A fatal crash took one life and injured six others at an intersection in Miami-Dade early Monday, April 19. At around 12:30 a.m., a dodge charger and a minivan were involved in a fatal collision on Northwest 119th Street.
The incident was reported on Northwest 119th Street at the intersection of 22nd Avenue. Several friends were traveling east along Northwest 119th street in their minivan when for unknown reasons, a dodge Charger crashed into their vehicle, identified as a 2004 Toyota Sienna.
The driver of the Charger then fled the scene of the wreck on foot. Both vehicles were seriously damaged in the crash. One of the people present in the van at the time of the wreck, identified as a 23-year-old, was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Six others involved in the crash were transported to area hospitals in stable condition. The man who lost his life was identified as Christopher Lopez.
