Miami, FL (August 7, 2021) – A man who was working on a fence was hit by a van that had previously collided with a vehicle in a neighborhood in northern Miami on Friday afternoon, August 6. The wreck was reported to officials in the area at around 3:45 p.m.

According to information from reports, two people were hospitalized including the fence worker. The scene was responded to by police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units. 

The van collided with a vehicle in front of a home. The collision sent the van through the front yard and into a white fence, where it struck the worker. A person present in the van at the time of the crash as well as the man working on the fence were both hospitalized following the incident. 

They were transported to Ryder Trauma Center for treatment, one of them on trauma alert. Authorities in Miami continue to investigate the circumstances of the wreck.
