Hollywood, FL (April 24, 2021) – A 6-year-old boy has lost his life after he was involved in an accident in Hollywood on Monday, April 19. Information from reports states that the incident happened at around 7:00 p.m.
Officers with the Broward Sheriff’s Office along with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue units were called to assist at the scene shortly after the wreck happened. It was reported in the 2300 block of Freedom Street near the border for Dania Beach.
No one involved has been identified at this time. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident. Police stated that the driver who caused the crash remained at the scene and rendered aid.
The young boy was transported by paramedics to Memorial Regional Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Traffic delays were observed in the area while responders worked to secure the scene.
