Port St Lucie, FL (July 20, 2021) – An auto accident involving a tractor-trailer occurred in Port St Lucie on the afternoon of July 20. The wreck was reported to officials in the area shortly after it occurred.
According to reports, the crash occurred on I-95 North near Orange Avenue at around 3:37 p.m. for reasons still under police investigation. Three lanes of the roadway were blocked while responders worked at the scene.
At least one person was hurt and required transportation to an area medical center for treatment. No one involved has been identified at this time, and the extent of the injuries suffered remains unknown.
The scene remained active for several hours after the wreck occurred. Drivers in the area were forced to go around or find alternative travel routes.
Nothing further has been reported concerning the incident at this time. Police in Port St Lucie continue to investigate.
