Miramar, FL (May 3, 2021) – A fatal auto accident took one life and injured another in Pembroke Park on the evening of Thursday, April 29. The incident occurred when police were trying to stop a black Mercedes-Benz that was speeding through a neighborhood.
During the chase, the Mercedes struck a pedestrian, causing them to become injured. The vehicle continued driving until it lost control and flipped three times. The driver of the Mercedes lost their life in the crash. Their name has not been released at this time.
According to reports, the driver was ejected through the windshield of the vehicle and into the parking lot of the Hallandale Beach Boulevard shopping plaza. The driver of the Mercedes was transported by ambulance to Memorial Regional Hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical professionals.
The pedestrian suffered injuries that were non-life-threatening in nature. Police continue to investigate. Our thoughts are with everyone involved.
