Miami Shores, FL (September 30, 2021) – A bicyclist has lost their life after they were struck by a freight train on the morning of Thursday, September 30. The wreck was reported to officials in the area shortly before 6:30 a.m.
Initial reports state that the incident occurred in the vicinity of Northeast 107th Street and 10th Court. The details of the incident are not currently available to report as authorities in Miami Shores continue to investigate.
Various responders were observed at the scene of the wreck. The crash site was active for at least two hours after the collision took place. Authorities were seen collecting pieces of the bicycle from the train tracks, according to various sources.
