Miami-Dade, FL (June 5, 2021) – Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were called to assist at the scene of a fatal accident that happened on Friday, June 4 in Hialeah Gardens. According to information provided by a local news source, the incident occurred on Okeechobee Road near Northwest 95h Street.
The driver of a silver Nissan was traveling north when he was struck head-on by a black Chevy headed south. The Chevy had crossed over the median, according to information from officials.
The incident resulted in the deaths of three people including both involved drivers and one passenger present in the Nissan at the time. A passenger who was in the backseat of the Nissan also suffered injuries and was taken via helicopter to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.
