Hollywood, FL (October 11, 2021) – A woman lost her life in an early morning traffic collision that happened on an interstate in Hollywood. Information from the Florida Highway Patrol states that the wreck happened on Interstate 95 on Sunday, October 10.
The police reports show that the incident occurred shortly after two vehicles were involved in a collision on I-95 north of Sheridan Street. The two drivers had pulled over to the southbound side of the interstate to exchange information when the fatal collision took place.
Both drivers and their passengers were standing along the side of the interstate when a third vehicle collided with one of their vehicles. The impact forced one of the parked cars into the pedestrians who were standing directly in front of it.
Officers with the Florida Highway Patrol said that a 34-year-old woman was pronounced deceased on-site. Her name has not been released at this time.
Various responders were observed at the crash scene for an extended time period. Information concerning any other injured victims was not reported.
