Fort Lauderdale, FL - Three Children Injured in Hit & Run Collision on NW 19th St near NW 18th Ct

Fort Lauderdale, FL (October 8, 2021) – A mother and her three children were injured in a hit-and-run accident that occurred on a roadway in Fort Lauderdale. The wreck was reported to police in the area on the evening of Thursday, October 7. Reports show that the incident occurred at around 8:00 p.m. near the 1200 block of Northwest 19th Street.

The woman involved was identified as Fallone Pinphinat. She was traveling along Northwest 19th Street in her BMW with her three children near Northwest 18th Court when an orange Dodge Charger rear-ended her vehicle. The impact forced her car into the truck in front of her and completely totaled her BMW.

The driver of the Charger reportedly fled the scene without stopping to render aid or call the police. Pinphinat suffered minor injuries while her children were more severely injured by the crash. Her 5-year-old was knocked unconscious and required CPR at the scene.

All three children were transported to an area hospital for treatment after the wreck took place. Though their injuries were serious in nature, they are all expected to make full recoveries. Police in Fort Lauderdale continue to investigate the details of the incident.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims in hopes of a speedy recovery.
